Stefan is General Partner Sif at Speedinvest, a leading pan-European early-stage tech fund with offices in Vienna, Berlin, London, Munich and Paris. At Speedinvest, he has built and managed the FinTech portfolio and team across EMEA and beyond and takes a very hands-on approach to support founders on business and product strategy, busdev and corpdev. Speedinvest is seeking to support the best teams in Europe and Frontier Markets to create the next generation of financial services unicorns. Speedinvest has been ranked as one of the most active FinTech investor in Europe by CB Insights and PitchBook for many years. Stefan has been regular speaker at Paris FinTech Forum, Money 2020 in Europe and Asia, Noah and Singapore Fintech Festival. Stefan has more than 25 years of experience in the international payments and banking technology space as Advisor, Operator and Investor. He is early investor and advisor to founders of N26, Wefox, Billie, Moove, Curve, Wayflyer, Bitpanda, Khazna, Shopup, Abhi and Luko amongst others. Also, Stefan has successfully exited payworks (to Visa), iyzico (to payU/Naspers) and Holvi (to BBVA). His main focus and interest currently are scale ups in Africa, MENA and other Frontier Markets. Previously, he was President Central and Southern Europe at First Data, Partner at Roland Berger, and Principal at A.T. Kearney based in New York and Vienna. He holds Master Degrees from Columbia University and Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration
