After graduating from HEC and INSEAD, Alexandre started his career with Goldman Sachs and McKinsey & Company. In 2013, he founded Smok.io with Steve Anavi – the first connected electronic cigarette and experienced the frustrations of business banking..
When he was in charge of finances in his first company, Alexandre experienced the frustrations of business banking. His banking experience was not only time-consuming and complex but also didn't include modern tools.
Shortly afterward, he decided to establish a better solution for young businesses and founded Qonto – the simple banking alternative for SMEs and freelancers. Since its launch in 2017, Qonto has raised €622 million from the world’s largest investors and is today the leading European business solution, with 300.000 clients in France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
