Pietjan is CEO and co-founder of Rockestate, a data science startup, founded in 2017 in Brussels, Belgium. Rockestate helps home insurers and mortgage lenders to better understand the home of their customers by providing actionable real estate intelligence. This enables them to digitize their product offerings with frictionless customer journeys without compromising on risk management.
Before starting Rockestate in 2017, he worked ten years in the financial markets division of ING, where he held various roles in derivatives sales and trading.
Pietjan holds a Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the KU Leuven university in Belgium. He is also a CFA Charterholder and a MRICS Chartered Valuation Surveyor.
