Gimena Diaz, is the Managing Director France VP Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa of Onfido.
Founded in 2012 in London, Onfido provides online identity verification services to more than 1,500 companies worldwide. Based on a hybrid mode that includes both artificial intelligence and the use of human experts, Onfido's technology makes it possible to verify that an Internet user is who they claim to be, without altering the customer experience, data confidentiality or security.
Gimena Diaz joined Onfido in 2019 as Managing Director for France and VP Europe South Middle East and Africa. As such, she created the French entity and built the teams with the ambition of developing Onfido activities in the region.
Gimena Diaz has more than 20 years of experience in business development, structuring and management of new business lines in new technologies applied to digital, telecommunications, banking and e-commerce.
Before joining Onfido, she had notably worked for companies such as Schlumberger / Gemalto, MCI Worldcom, or PayPal as Managing Director for France while ensuring an international coordination role in Southern, Northern and Eastern Europe. is from 2012 to 2016.
Originally from Argentina, Gimena Diaz is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris and a Masters in Telecoms-Audiovisual-Internet from Paris-Dauphine University. Finalist for the Ivy Young Leader Award in 2012, she has participated in the development of gender equality as Administrator of UN Women France since 2016.
